Florence and Dr. David Lowell, owners of The Naked Oyster, hosted the local chef and restaurant auction for the second year.

The auction raised over $37,000 - the money will be used to help build another greenhouse at Cape Abilities Farm in Dennis.

Cape Abilities Farm Bee Mobile was an invited guest at the auction. The Bee Mobile, on loan from Tracy Volkwagen in Hyannis, has spent the summer touring from Provincetown to Boston to promote Cape Abilities Farm and the Adopt A Bee program.

Unfortunately, the Bee Mobile did not win any of the items that it bid on - it will continue to fill up at the Getty stations.

Jim and Susan Knieriem. Jim is Farm Manager at Cape Abilities Farm and also a talented auctioneer. He encouraged lively bidding and competition among the bidders.

  The crowd enjoyed the delicious food and carefully studied the list of auction items - to prepare for the bidding.
