An ancient herb from the Greco-Roman world, Rosemary has a tealike aroma and a piney flavor. Used to flavor lamb, rabbit, chicken, fish and other meat dishes. It also does well with tomato sauces and vegetable dishes.
It's been snowing, but we've started planting this year's tomato vines in our Dennis greenhouses. With the right care and nutrients we should have fresh, ripe tomatoes ready for sale when we reopen our farm stand on Route 6A in Dennis on May 3. The leaf textures range from smooth to lightly crumpled at the young stage, to lightly crumpled to crumpled at the mature stage. The stalks are broad, very tender and fleshy, even at full maturity. A great item for adding color to salad mixes. (from Harris Seeds)
