Baye Salad Patch

This is the second year for Baye. The cold rainy weather in June helped the greens but also held them back slightly because of not enough sun. July has been different, though. Baye has become a produce champion.

Salad Patch - Country Lane Corner

Country Lane Corner is a wonderful name for a salad patch at Cape Abilities Farm. It conjures up images of something we love about Cape Cod - quiet country lanes filled with beautiful wild flowers and historic homes. The Country Lane Corner salad patch has produced some wonderful lettuce this year. 

Diamonds Edge Salad Patch

The season should be just about over for this salad patch, but the fall has been warm. The farm workers say that it still yields good produce.

Katrinka Salad Patch

Katrinka has produced more lettuce this season than any other patch and there is still some growing time left.

Jenna's Salad Patch

Crisp and green are the adjectives the farm's workers used to describe the product of this salad patch. They say it's yielded some of the best produce of the summer.

John and Sawyer's Salad Patch

The farm workers say that some of this season's best greens are coming from this patch. Almost everything grown there is on sale only a few feet away at the farm stand.

William Belle Overture Salad Patch

Starting out with just a handful of lettuce seeds the William Belle patch has produced a bumper crop this season and is likely to produce a lot more.

Judy Salad Patch

The Judy Patch is producing some of the freshest greens at the farm. A timely addition of fertilizer in late May and some TLC from the farm crew seems to have done the trick for this patch.
